So, I decided I need to try THM again and today's my first day. I'll have to make an exception tomorrow and tell myself I can restart in 3 hours as we have a get together for birthdays. I'm goal is going to be at least 2 THM meals a day and not to completely blow things for that 3rd meal. I've got to do something though
and this means going cold turkey on the soda so that won't be easy either

Thanks,Julie-I really don't eat sugary stuff at all, except coffee creamer, but I am going to switch to that sugar free torani syrup--pumpkin spice. The hard part for me is I like a potato with my dinner every night and I will miss it.

I'm goal is going to be at least 2 THM meals a day and not to completely blow things for that 3rd meal. I've got to do something though and this means going cold turkey on the soda so that won't be easy either I used to be an "only drink water" person, but I've made many beverage recipes from the cookbook and like them: good girl moonshine, singing canary, shrinker, caramel sea salt frappa, variations of the big boy smoothie (chocolate with okra, chocolate nut with okra, peach), also like the chocolate mint shake... I'm eating and drinking more than I used to and losing weight. For breakfast I choose from fried eggs with mushrooms, peppers, bacon bits, and cheese (once or twice a week if I can make the time), oatmeal with fresh berries and a triple zero yogurt, sea salt caramel triple zero yogurt with an apple dipped in it, or a triple zero yogurt with fresh berries or even by itself. My go to treat is Ghirardelli 86% chocolate squares with a spoonful of Smuckers natural crunchy peanut butter on top. For a good E meal I like pepperidge farm sprouted bread with a thin spread of hummus topped with spinach and/or lettuce, and Cajun turkey deli meat. Other crunchy raw veggies on the side.

We also really like the Green bean fries recipe from the cookbook. I make that for a side with S meals - like burgers or brats. I have a taco salad just about every Tuesday.
Lots of THM bloggers out there with recipes to try if you don't buy the cookbook. I do really like the cookbook, though, and use it daily.

Started back on the plan today...so far it's going well. I made a batch of pumpkin oat flour muffins. They're not bad for healthy 'on plan' muffins

First day was okay, second day was ds#2 birthday and a cook out. Today isn't going well after a very sleepless night, however, so far I have resisted the urge to get a soda. I'm back to tracking too so I hopefully I'll keep my self in check one way or another

Are the pumpkin muffins in the cookbook?
I love the banana cake in the cookbook - although I now sub some of the oatmeal for ground golden flax seed. Not as gummy as they were.
I need better on-plan breakfasts. I'm not an egg fan. Maybe I'll bake up some goodies this weekend when it cools off.
One of my favorite no-potato sides is the loaded cauliflower. Kind of helps with my potato addiction.

This pumpkin chocolate chip one popped up on my Facebook feed this morning mymontanakitchen.com/2016/09/01/pumpkin-chocolate-chip-muffin-mug-thm-s-low-carb-sugar-free/i struggle with breakfast too and am leaning towards getting some sprouted bread and trying to go with toast and fruit or yogurt. I tell myself I'll drink one of the smoothies or something but it never happens. Breakfast has always been my down fall and then around 10 I'll just start grabbing what ever is easy, you know chips or something like that

That is exactly my problem. I wait too long then all bets are off.
Being gluten free presents a different problem with breakfasts and some lunches. I can't just grab one of the "on plan" wraps or breads. Once it cools down I think I'll make that muffin recipe - thanks for the link. And some banana bread (on plan) so that I have something to just grab. Earlier in the summer I had treats individually wrapped and in the freezer. Worked well. Now to get back to that.
Anyone do the overnight oats? I had a brownie batter one that I'm going to find the recipe for. I can do oats once or twice a week. Maybe.

I used this recipe: www.runningwithspoons.com/2015/11/20/pumpkin-oat-greek-yogurt-muffins/I replaced the whole egg with egg white, replaced the sugar with a mixture of stevia and monk fruit sugar and omitted the chocolate chips.

Give us an update once you've tried it. I'm not a fan of eggs so I mostly do oatmeal for E breakfasts or oatflour pancakes or waffles. I found a almond flour biscuit recipe I'd like to try for an S breakfast That cauliflower dish you mentioned in another post sounds really good!

I've done overnight oats. I'm not a big oat person so finding the right combination of what I like is hard. I did find one I liked that used natural applesauce. I'll have to go look for the link again. There was like 8'variations on the page I had found. I have one sitting in the fridge right now that's from the cookbook
