A funny NSV (non-scale victory) from today. I noticed this afternoon that my chest is sticking out further than my belly again!

Yesterday was my official weigh in day and I am down 10 pounds since June 1! My BMI is at 34.6 (needs to be lower than 34.4 to be a "significant change" for insurance purposes) almost there!!

I've been stalled for a couple of weeks. Not going up but not going down either, exactly the same to the 10th of a pound the same. Frustrating, I haven't lost enough to be stalled now.

Weigh in day today - after being stalled for a couple of weeks I was finally down another pound today. Total of 11.6 pounds. I also hit the bmi "line" today. I need to be under 34.4 before our medical checks and today I hit 34.4. Another pound or so and I should be under and out of $30 "fat fee" range.

Great job Laney! When is that deadline? We don't have a date yet, sometime in September, last year the appt. was Sept 29th. So I'm really hoping to be below on BMI and higher than 10% weight loss by Sept 1. That'll show enough improvement to take the fee off our insurance, I'll still have to get below another BMI point the year after that to keep it from coming back but one goal at a time.

I've stalled on and off a bit. As of today, I'm down 14.2 from last year's weight at my exam (and down 18.4 from June when I started). I'd still like to be down another 10 pounds before this year's exam. My BMI is now almost 2 full points below where it needs to be to show improvement.

I was doing really great and on Friday I was .4 away from 19 pounds lost from last years medical exam s I set the goal of hitting that weight yesterday. When I went to the dr yesterday afternoon for my weekly weigh in (supposed to be weekly but i don't always make it) I weighed in 6 pounds higher than my weight Friday!!!! So close and yet so far!!!! I'm totally frustrated at this point. Since my ablation several years ago I don't keep up with my cycle so I have no idea if this is monthly water weight. I didn't eat just fabulous this weekend but I really didn't eat that terrible either. I had at least 18000 steps (about 8 miles) everyday since Friday. I'm going to keep going like I have been going to this point counting calories and making sure I burn enough to give myself a nice size deficit each day. I plan to finish the month out that way and starting the 1st, I'll be working on my last ditch efforts to lose as much as possible before the exam. I'm not going to be as concerned if that part of the weight comes back - I plan to get back to my normal weight loss efforts after the exam I'm just looking for the numbers when I go in that day. after that I'll have time to gradually work it back off so it stays off. On the 1st, I'm going to go to a veggie based low cal diet & skip meat (since it tends to hang around in your system longer). Medical exam is Oct 12. It is a fasting exam so nothing after midnight and I'm not scheduled until 5:15 pm (the scheduling alone might be good for a couple of pounds). I don't love that it is so late in the day but they only do the exams on 2 days and that appt comes the closest to work out for me (and it is still going to be a huge stretch - piano lessons that morning, 15 min break for lunch for the kids & AHG that afternoon then we'll leave AHG and drive a little over an hour from where we do everything to dh's work (leave the kids in the car because minors can't go in) and do the exam. But at least at that point it'll all be done and I'll probably be busy enough that day that I won't have time to worry about food.

Ok I've recovered the meltdown that my 6 pound jump caused. I'm down about 3.5 of those pounds. I'm 2.2 points under BMI to show improvement (still in the obese category but enough improvement according to their chart). I'm still about 4 pounds (with nothing on) away from 10% weight loss from the last medical exam and it is supposed to be meet the BMI or 10% weight loss but I'm really hoping for BMI and 10%. So I probably still need to lose another 8-10 pounds to give me some buffer (because I'm fairly certain dh would prefer I not go in naked so that I weigh as little as possible). I am going to be wearing shorts that day so I don't need a real fall weather day that day. It has been hot this long it can hold out another 2 weeks!
