Has anyone read this?
any thoughts or input?
I have read the first few pages.....and understand that it started out as a radio show, and then it was printed and put in a book.
It's alot tougher then i was expecting. (or maybe I am not as bright as i thought I was)

I started it about a month ago because it was referenced in a blog I was reading. It was a slow start that I stopped

I have started it twice. I always heard good things about it. And I did find it good.
My problem was I started it at times when I really wanted "light" or "easy" reading. This book is definitely not "light" or "easy". I agree that its tougher than I was expecting.
Its a book that I will need to really spend alone, focused time on - no distractions, no picking it up for a few minutes before bed... I do want to read it. I just haven't gotten around to a focused reading time for it yet.

I was supposed to... But then we had our two different small group books, our book for praise team and the ones I want to read. I gave up before I really started.

I am currently reading it now. I'm about 80% through it and it really is worth the effort. Once you get used the somewhat archaic language, you get into the flow of it and it gets easier. I always have this little "time warp" when I read older books. I read all of Jane Austen's books a few summers ago, and the first few chapters of the first book, I began to wonder if my brain had somehow atrophied or something. It's just that books back then took a lot longer to get going and they had a much larger vocabulary than we are used to with modern books. Mere Christianity also deals with some deep stuff that Lewis is trying to simplify, but some of it is just hard to make simple, kwim?

It's on my to-be-read list, but I haven't read it yet.

My three oldest boys read it, and there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth. Definitely not an easy read. I didn't read it along with them; I merely led the discussion questions.

I've read it... Dh has read it... it's on the kids' reading list for when we hit 20th c. history (2 years from now).
Not an easy read, but a very GOOD read.
