I'm just wondering how you all are doing and how much snow have you gotten? If you can post a picture that would be cool too!

we are. They are calling it on the non-blizzard of 2015. Supposed to get 20-24 inches. We got 8. We're fine-just wondering why they wasted a snow day on this...roads are good here.

Only been snowing here for a few hours so not much of anything yet. DH was told they are not to work today so he is home. (But the workers are required to either put in for a vacation day or work Saturday. Tell me, how does them closing work mean we have to use up a vacation day or work a Saturday? DH had no problem going in to work today but now it's like we have to pay for their decision to close. Not impressed by that one.)

I measured.. we actually got 18 or 20 inches…
It is FREEZINGGG….
Still windy now but no big gusts like last night.
No school tomorrow either as roads are tricky… They did a great job of cleaning them up, but they are super slippery with the temps so low...

Glad that everyone is faring well. I want a snow day. Well, not a blizzard, but I was surprised to open my curtains this morning to this scene:

Your snow has been on UK news (think the focus was New York mind, which I think is the same as London: the centre of the country!)
Glad you're all ok.
I'd like snow around the weekend (there's a course I'd like to go on tomorrow)

It drifted so bad here that I can't really measure our snow. All i can tell for sure is more than a foot.

We got probably 18-24 inches... it's beautiful! I know many hate it, and I don't winter, but I love the way the new snow looks. I also don't have to shovel it. haha!
They called off school on Monday night for Tuesday... it was kinda a fun day yesterday. Even the government gave my husband the day off. We never lost power either, but we were somewhat prepared as the winds were howling. Today it's just cold. No school again (they called it yesterday) so everyone can clean up/out. Peoples cars are buried (literally), etc. My husband said the roads are not that good because it got so cold and everything froze... it wasn't a lovely ride in, but he made it. Right now one teenager is helping my inlaws shovel out and the other is shoveling here at home.
We are scheduled for more snow on Friday (maybe 6 more inches... they are calling it small but that's nothing to bark at). Then again on Monday... could be another big one (but not THIS big, they say).

Great. I get to have surgery in a snow storm. Lovely. Here's hoping everyone makes it in to work Monday. :/

Me too. So pretty.
I wish that we could get more here. There's such a serenity about a world covered with freshly fallen snow.
I was very surprised to open up the curtains to the dusting of snow that we had yesterday morning, b/c I didn't even know that was going to happen.
Hope everyone enjoys the quiet, before the world starts bustling again.

I love the dusting you got, BC… so pretty!
I like a little, just enough to look at but not hurt yourself shoveling!
