Last Wednesday was the last day we had received mail. Thursday and Friday were both in the mid 30s-I went running without a coat-just a hoodie. We didn't receive mail Thursday-Saturday. Today I called to inquire about mail services. I was waiting for Girl Scout mail and my husband was getting nervous b/c we had received no tax info. The first answer I received "We always deliver mail 6 days a week." As soon as I gave my address, I heard this comment "umm...let me check...Carrie!!!!!!" 90 minutes later while I was shoveling our snow, our mail carrier delivered the mail right tot my hands. She complained about the weather and gave me an enormous pile! I said thank you-over 4 tax statements and had my girl scout mail...hoping to get mail again Thursday-we're supposed to get hit by the blizzard

That's weird. The only time we don't get mail is if we didn't shovel out our mailbox. Which is out fault, not the mail carrier.

We don't get if it rains, too windy, snow, or foggy. We are a walking route on a busy road-and also used as a training route. Those are two reasons I've been given.

Our mail delivery tends to be pretty sporadic too. We didn't get any mail Thursday - Sat last week. The week of Christmas we only got mail on Christmas Eve.

At least we do get our mail regularly. I don't, however, trust the postal service not to LOSE things - they have lost several things. Just recently, my FIL got his Christmas package this week - it was mailed the week before Christmas and only had to go about 45 minutes south of us. (The homemade bread in the package had of course gone bad...)  |
