My mom would be so pleased. We were going in our own direction before (mom got sick). Pretty much figured it'd always be that way .... long into the future .... even when mom would, one day, no longer be with us. Well, as you know, that day came for us sooner than later.
Yet being with mom so much, in her final months, really drew my siblings & I together, rock solid .... like when we were younger.
Enjoyed a blast of a day today ... just us girls.
25 years ago sister #1 moved a couple of hours away. While she talked of maaaaaaybe someday moving back to this area, we didn't really think that it would happen. But, it did. It has! Today.
We helped her shop for a house, and today she closed on that house. We then enjoyed lunch together & hit at least 4 furniture stores .... shopping for a new living room set for her. Found it.
Woohoo! Her house is about 5 min. from sister #2, & maybe 10 min. from me.

That is a beautiful legacy of your mom's final days. I think she would be very pleased.

Awww, city... that is so awesome! I'm envious. My siblings live so far away and I don't have much relationship with them.
