Lambs' Chocolate Cake
super easy too...
2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 1/2 cup cocoa 2 teaspoons baking soda
Add all ingredients and make a "volcano" in the bowl with them... add following in the middle of the volcano...
3/4 cup salad oil (vegetable or canola oil is what I use) 2 tablespoons vinegar 2 teaspoons vanilla (I use 2 tablespoons) 2 cups water
mix with electric mixer, pour into greased & floured pans and bake at 325 degrees!! I don't have a time on this recipe... you'll know when it's done!
I have no idea if you HAVE to make the volanco but my mil swears by that "technique"... and my kids love to help me with it that way!!
Love, Susan

Sugary pie crust from BCatherine:
hate rolling dough (even cookie dough) so I never make my own pie crusts (I buy the pillsbury ones that have two in each pkg. and you just roll them out into the pie plate and over the filling). But, if you are making other kinds of pie (key lime, lemon, cheesecake, that kind of stuff) I make my pie crusts with the Lorna Doon shortbread cookies and it's so good. I've never liked graham cracker crusts (I know I'm weird) so I started making them with these cookies and it's really good.
I guess I'm no help for a cherry pie crust but might come in handy when making other pies.
