Ohmygoodness...
I realized yesterday that I never paid our HOA fees that normally come due at the end of December. That's because I never received the bill. So I called up the HOA management office and asked if there was a delay in the billing cycle since they just switched management companies, but they said that the bills were mailed out on time.
Hmmm...
So I asked them which address they sent the bill to. Well, turns out they sent it to our "on-the-road address" and not to this house. This is irritating, because in July when the last HOA fees were due, I went to their office IN PERSON and told them to update the address. IN PERSON. I have no idea why they still had that address on file, and why the bill went to that address.
So I asked if they could send me a new bill. Which, of course, they said they couldn't do, but that they could email me one instead. Fine. So I gave them my email address and waited all day for the emailed invoice to show up. Keep in mind that it was 8:00 in the morning when I called, so it wasn't like I called at the end of the business day.
Surprise, surprise, the email never came. So this morning I called them back again, thinking that perhaps they misheard me when I gave them my email address over the phone. Told them that I didn't receive the email, etc. They said to check my spam folder, but that they would send it again just in case.
So I checked my spam folder. Nothing. And I've been waiting all morning for the email, and as of yet it has not arrived.
I'm honestly starting to think they don't want my money! How ridiculous that I have to chase down my debtors to pay my debts! The most irritating part is that if I would not have realized that the bill was overdue and just forgot about it all together (which would be easy to do since it's paid only every six months), then *I* would be the one slapped with late fees!
So, should I call them back YET AGAIN and tell them to get their act together, or what?
