I have to go back next week for a more invasive exam to make sure the cyst isn't affecting my bladder at all. Doc doesn't think it is but he needs to make sure before the surgery happens. They could have done those tests today but I only had childcare for so long.
Surgery is scheduled for February 2nd. I have to be careful not to get pregnant before that or else they can't do the surgery. And then no hf for 8 weeks after the surgery.
Glad we found the cyst and it is getting taken care of. Annoyed it took so long. Frustrated it is putting our TTC journey on hold...when it has already been a long-ish journey. I have so many emotions right now. Doc said it might go away on it's own but since it has gotten bigger, not smaller, that isn't likely.

I was wondering how long it might delay the TTC. That's longer than I thought but it is in a delicate area.

I was wondering how long it might delay the TTC. That's longer than I thought but it is in a delicate area. Yea, I had hoped it would only be one month but oh well. Doc had no sense of humor when I joked about it. What is it with me and getting docs recently with no sense of humor. I think my normal OB has spoiled me.

Feel free to ignore this question if you don't want to answer.
Could this cyst be a contributing factor of why TTC has been taking so long up to now? Could getting it taken care of, even if it means delaying TTC for awhile longer, end up helping that in the end?
I'm just curious. And maybe trying to find a "bright side" to the delay.

Already asked that question. Not connected. I know in my head that taking a year to get pg isn't that uncommon...but it feels long and uncommon. And now it will be taking longer because a 2/2 surgery means we can't start back again until 4/2. Bleck. And not just for the ttc side of things. I fully admit I enjoy that part of my marriage. lol

(even with tcoyf!) ... until we "birthed" a 6 1/2 year old soooo btdt ... the season of waiting is sometimes really hard to be at peace with God's timing and His answers.

I'm thankful that you're getting surgery to take care of the problem, but I'm very sorry it's interfering with your plans to have another baby and with HF in general. It could very well be that having the surgery will help you conceive easier, too. Keeping you in my prayers!

I'm so glad you're finally diagnosed and there's a plan. But I feel so bad for you ... ouch! Are you going to have help for a while after your surgery?

I'm so glad you're finally diagnosed and there's a plan. But I feel so bad for you ... ouch! Are you going to have help for a while after your surgery? I will have DH the day of the surgery then will be by myself. But my in-laws are going to take DD at their house for a few days so all I have to deal with is myself. I'm going to get some freezer meals made up the next two weeks so that that will be taken care of. I need to find out about how long until I can lift DD, etc because she can't just stay with my on-laws for 8 weeks. Frankly, I'm more freaked out about next week's appt than I am about the surgery. They have to insert a camera up my urethra to make sure my bladder isn't affected. At least with the surgery, I won't feel anything.

Glad you have some answers. I'll pray for this upcoming procedure as well as the surgery itself.
