I had planned on getting some things done today - my laundry is piled up because when it is super cold I can't use my washing machine. Our pipes go outside under the back patio and they freeze down the way and I end up with a flood. Well, it's been super cold all week, so my usual washing day of thursday did not happen. I got a couple loads done yesterday but with everyone's needs (including dh who is sick), I just didn't get a lot done, even though I tried. So this morning, I was thinking it would be fine because I'd be home all afternoon/evening. Nope - Brody has his free throw competition. I mean, I'm happy for him, but dh is still sick. We are all still sniffling - tail end of this illness stuff. No enthused - at all. I have kind of a busy week too. Monday I have 2 interviews and Brody has a game Tuesday I have an interview and Brody has a game Wednesday I am speaking for this group in the morning and have Guiding Light in the evening Thursday we are doing my mom's birthday Friday I have a women's ministry meeting and Brock has a game Saturday morning Brody has a game I'm already tired. Okay, enough whining from me - carry on with your day.

That sounds like way too much week! Praying God strengthens you today and through the week to get everything done! Also praying for health to be restored in your household.

Just a little update - Brody won for his division so we are off to Columbus for the state level of competition in February. We do get to stay in a hotel for free, so it should be a fun weekend whether he wins or loses. Strange, but true - this woman came up to us afterwards (her son won 2nd behind Brody). She said, "I don't know why but I felt like I should pray for your son. I just felt he was a Christian - are you guys Christians?" She got our cell phone numbers and plans to text us to find out how Brody does in February. I"m not sure if that is really cool or a tiny bit creepy. :dunno: Anyway, it was interesting.

Cool - on both parts! (I don't find the 2nd part creepy at all - God can be neat like that!)

Cool - on both parts! (I don't find the 2nd part creepy at all - God can be neat like that!) I thought what was really neat about it was that her son was in competition with Brody. She seemed like a very nice woman, but it was a bit startling. This woman's son and Brody actually sat by each other since they sit them in these chairs while they wait for their turn. Brody, this kid and the other kid on the other side of Brody were all talking and giving each other fives after they shot. It was nice to see the kids supporting each other even as they were competing.
