I have graduated from the big, bulky, uncomfortable immobilizer to a small, comfy ( relatively speaking  ) hinged knee brace! I have to stay on Ibuprofen twice a day for the swelling and pain, start PT 2-3 x/ week x 6 weeks Then see him again on Feb 25th So happy! The immobilizer's metal bars were digging into my thigh and heel, and I constantly felt off balance walking with my leg straight…. That's all I'd need to do is trip and fall again! YAY!!!! Doing a modified happy dance!!! |

Yay! My son goes to the ortho tomorrow, and I think he will be getting "softer" brace. He'll be so happy.

Yay! My son goes to the ortho tomorrow, and I think he will be getting "softer" brace. He'll be so happy. Good luck to him!!! Hope he heals fast!!!!!  |

I'm so glad you are progressing, cshore! Wow, what an ordeal. You know, when I was younger and still working, a 40-something coworker died after a fall down the steps at home. Hit her head! So, I'm glad you're still with us, even if the recovering will take a while! hugs |

I'm so glad you are progressing, cshore! Wow, what an ordeal. You know, when I was younger and still working, a 40-something coworker died after a fall down the steps at home. Hit her head! So, I'm glad you're still with us, even if the recovering will take a while! hugs Oh how awful! That is so sad... I did not hit my head… thankfully… Though when I blacked out and then began vomiting my DH was not so sure…. I KNOW I did not hit my head... |
