Both my girls are back to school today. I need to do some work around this house. We were pretty laid back for the past 2 weeks.
On my agenda:
Kitchen: Put something in the crockpot for dinner. dishwasher/dishes wipe down all counters Sweep
Living room: vacuum shampoo carpet
Office: I have piles of paperwork and books to deal with. This room has become a catch-all

getting off my duff and going to vacuum now... i loaded the dishwasher and washed everything that didn't fit. Counters are clean. Bible study this morning, then need to run to grocery store... and think about dinner.
We had beef and broccoli in the crockpot last night... soooooo good. It's not often that EVERYONE likes what I make and they ALL raved. It did have soy sauce and beef broth in it and husband mentioned it could do with less salt... so next time I would lower the amount of soy and use low sodium in both. But it was easy, if you're looking for suggestions (and gluten free).

Please share the recipe! That sounds like one we'd like around here.

We've got a dentist appointment this morning. Hopefully Fed Ex will bring the vacuum cleaner belts so I can vacuum today. I need dh to get out the Christmas boxes so we can get the tree and decorations out of this place. I need to help him set up the deer cams at the farmhouse and work on security at the barn. We did a did of school yesterday but I think I'm only going to require math & reading today. I also need to menu plan at the dentist office and then grocery shop after we finish at the dentist. One of my goals this year is too do better in that area. We spend so much extra money on food because I just am not as prepared as I need to be. I need to work around what we have available (now eggs - instead of beef & deer)and I need to have cheap options here for the kids to eat breakfast and lunch (I still have not been able to adjust to having 5 people here for 3 meals a day). I also need to make sure that dh has more lunch options so he'll quit getting lunch at Jack's & Subway (his only 2 options near work).

Dh and I were just discussing what a budget killer eating out for lunch is. It's a hard one to always prepare for though! Could you have Subway like lunches for him? We call it Momma'sWay here.

He is great about eating anything I have ready for him to take so I won't get any fight from him about not eating out (such a blessing). I just need to make sure I have stuff ready to go.

Just have the shampooing to do and the office. I heard a crash in the basement and saw that a favorite dish of mine had somehow slid off the shelving unit and is laying in a million pieces on the floor. I'm putting off cleaning it up until I eat something and take a break.

We had small group study this morning... Nice to get back to it after a few weeks off. Just three or four of us usually. Little man is here for an extended visit today so his mama can grocery shop after work this morning.
I cleaned up the kitchen and ran the dishwasher.
Laundry is started. Need to keep working on that.
I'm slowly stripping wall paper in the bathroom. It's super stubborn so I'm working on it after one of us has showered. Works best that way.
Not much else needs to get done, which is god because my heads throbbing.
