2 dds and I went camping the beginning of July. We had so much fun. It seems like it was along time ago now. I can’t believe summer is pretty much over now. It makes me feel sad as it is one more season we have gone through without my mom  |

We went at the end of June. DH's family does a family camping trip every year and we usually go. Sometimes we make a second trip on our own later, but sometimes we don't. This year we just did the one. My family did a lot of camping when I was growing up. Turns out that one of the places DH's family sometimes gathers is the same small, forest service campground my family spent a lot of time at years ago. But they didn't start camping there until recent years. I have pictures of my kids playing on one of the same logs that I used to walk on out in the river. My old pictures have the log still covered in bark as it was recently fallen then. In my kids' pictures, the log is barkless and a young tree has taken root and started to grow off of part of it.  |

Family camp sounds like so much fun. We used to do a family camp when my kids were little.
That’s so neat you’ve got a picture of your kids walking on the same log you walked on! And now there is an off shoot!!!
