Today would have been her Birthday.
I feel like she's with us still in some ways. We have such beautiful memories. She loved her family, especially my 3 kids... they were "her kids", too... She'd be so proud of them. And in some ways she is so far away. I'm feeling that distance today. Lots of hard issues and heartache lately. I wish she was here to lean on and give her usual perfect , practical advice.
Went to see my chiropractor today, and he remembered that she had passed away this time of year, before the holidays and my Dad , after the holidays only 3 months apart. I was so touched that he remembered, after 8 years. I'd become a patient there about a year before . He wondered if holidays were hard, still. They are actually better than they were in the beginning. We focus on the good, the positive, and remember them so fondly. We always ( holiday or not) talk about them and how they'd react or what they would say in certain situations , to keep their memory alive. Anyhow... not sure why I posted.. Just feeling sort of sad and lonely... ok! deep breath. Smile, get busy... actually, go to sleep, then get busy... She would absolutely hate that I am all sappy... I can just see her eye-roll ...

Sending you a virtual hug and actual prayers. Anniversaries and holidays definitely bring up the memories and, as sweet as they are, they're always mixed with a little sadness. ❤️

I'm sorry I wasn't on to see your post the day you needed extra prayer. I feel so sad for you that you are missing your sister so much. Wish I could give you a big hug. How touching your chiropractor was so sweet in remembering your sister and dad. Sending up prayers the Lord's love and peace will wash over you and give the comfort you need! (((hug))
