Trying to finish washing floors, then we are going to my Mom's. DD made dinner!

My neighbors ( nicest couple ( she is a school psychologist and he is a commodities trader for a recycling business ( not sure what that is)) had a baby Wednesday. She had a C-section and he is just adorable! 8 lbs 10 oz ( she is barely 5" tall) . His name is Oscar!!!!! So beautiful!!! So happy for them. We have no babies in the neighborhood and have not for a long time!!!

School starts soon for me ( sigh!) I go in Wed and Fri and next Wed 8/29 is the first day for students. I am not ready for summer to end. But it' s been fun and wonderful. Got a lot done around the house too.

DD got a job as a special ed teacher in an elementary school 40 min away! She also starts her Masters program on 8/27
Ds1 starts his college classes 8/28

DS2 is looking to job shadow an electrician and start the process. He needs a job ( more than the part time furniture delivery he does)

And my DH is finally back to work FULL TIME since last Tuesday . Out since Feb 27th with a fractured tibia!

DH and I were on a Beerfari with 6 friends to Kansas City MO this weekend. Great time was had by all; I'm exhausted.

I promised DD I'd finish an afghan she brought home from work today. A resident passed away and she was working on a prayer shawl. Her family hoped they knew of someone who might be willing to finish it for them. DD volunteered and said if she couldn't do it, she was sure her mom would cuz her Mom loves to help people. So, I guess it's now up to me! All that is left are the ends. If I can't figure out the pattern, I can rip out 2 inches of trim and make my own.

DS#2 is moving out 9/1. That will be an adventure. I'm going on a Bachelorette weekend with a group of ladies (3 from the Beerfari). I've NEVER done such a thing before. It's at a lake house though so I don't think it will be a lot of going out and partying.

Too many adventures in my life right now. I prefer slow and steady!

I'm not ready for it to be over either! It has flown by!
It sounds like your kids are doing really well.

I'm glad your daughter found a job not too far from home. Yay! Wow, and your Dh has just gone back to full time work! My Dh has been working away from home for a while now so we didn't go on any vacations although I did go visit 2 of my bestest friends for a weekend (they live 4 hours away) the beginning of summer and I went to my nephew's wedding. He lives a 12 hour car ride away. Just spent lots of happy

days with my grandbaby who is growing way too fast!
