I started yesterday. I left a few wintery type decorations out. The house looks bare but I like it. Also left out a very small artificial tree with white twinkle lights in the corner of the living room.  Now starts the winter purge!!!! Going through each room sorting, decluttering and putting aside "stuff" to give away/get rid of. How's your post Christmas clean up going? |

Way to go! I threw out the wrapping paper and miscellaneous garbage today. The decor will have to wait!

Yay! Good job!
I have everything down but the outside lights (I will probably do when DH gets home this afternoon) and a few Christmas dishes that need to be put up. I have a few wintery things out still too. I have a blanket that says "Let it snow" that I don't put away until I'm done with snow for the year (and since we have had very little so far this year, I will probably keep it out awhile!)

You're making good progress too We still have the outdoor lights up as well. Dh will take them down sometime this week. |

Last year we had so much snow that the outside lights didn't come down until March! That was a record for me. (I did not turn them on past the first few days of January though.) This year I would like to get them put away a bit earlier! |

Outside lights down! Yay! I got about half of the kitchen stuff (tablecloth, dishes etc) put away - the other half is still in the dishwasher.
I have all our inside and outside lights piled in our bedroom though - I still need to go through them and check bulbs etc. I saw at least a few broken bulbs on the outside ones and one of the inside strings has half of it out so I need to see if its repairable or if I should just toss it.
