Hi! How are your Christmas plans coming along? I feel like I haven't been here in so long! Between work and decorating and shopping there's not much time. I had an unexpected day off today. I am attending a two day conference for school nursing and yesterday they called off today's session because of possible bad weather. They rescheduled for Wednesday and I was lucky enough to get a sub for that day, and my current sub for Monday and Tuesday offered to work Tuesday anyway. So I plan to get a lot of work done around the house today on my unexpected day off. My living room is full of boxes and bags and I need to get wrapping!! Tonight I have a meeting at school regarding my son's trip to England in the spring, and my youngest son's wrestling tournament is tonight also.
Hope your preparations are coming along fine and you are enjoying some peace and joy this season.

Gifts are all bought except for a few little stocking things that I am going to get today. Waiting for Christmas cards to get here so I can send them out. Last night the kids had their school Christmas concert. Songs of Jesus and even the Christmas story quoted straight from the Bible are alive and well in the public schools! It may have been put into the context of American history - but the word of God was still spoken! This Sunday is the Christmas concert at church - adults, teens and kids! My kids finish school on Friday. Other districts in the area go for the first couple of days next week so DH still might have a couple of subbing days next week. DD is praying for a white Christmas - literally when its prayer time at night! I keep trying to tell her it may not happen this year - even if we did have a tiny dusting of snow last night. But I'm not sure she actually remembers a Christmas without snow. Growing up, my brother and I used to change the words of "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" to "I'm dreaming of a green Christmas, just like the ones I've always known" - although we sometimes had snow on the 24th or the 26th, I never remember having snow on the ground for the 25th growing up (unless you count white frost.) I'm hoping to wrap kid presents in the next couple of days - before school is out and then I don't have to hide away at night to do it. Thanksgiving and Christmas came on fast this year. But I think I'm ready now.

Stumbling along. I need to get the "main gift" for each of the kids and DH. Online tomorrow night is my goal. The tree is up. Christmas cookies are up in the air. My BIL is severely ill so family things are being kept flexible and fluid.

I have pretty much all Christmas gifts made or purchased. Still have to wrap everything. I don't have any baking done yet. I mean we have done some baking and then it's been eaten. lol. I finally put up some Christmas decorations! I've got one more card to send out and one more parcel.

I finished addressing 75 photo cards, have to enclose a little note or extra card in a few, still have to send out about 20 more, but that's easy... ( DH's coworkers are the majority of those..so no note enclosed, just a quick Merry Christmas ) I wrapped a lot already. Still have a ways to go... Trying to pick up the living room as that is where the majority of gifts, wrap, bags ,tags and bows are. DD and her friends and the moms ( we have been friends as our kids grew up together) are going out tonight for her birthday ( 22nd) , So we will be going out to dinner and to look at Christmas lights. It's in the town where my sister lived, so lots of warm memories there. Have to quickly do a bit more work now before we go! One of teh friends is en route now from Delaware. She will be here in an hour or so. Getting there ... Cannot believe that Christmas is 8 days away!!!!!!!

I had hardly anything bought for Christmas on Friday, but now I'm all done! Yay!!!! I am waiting on a couple things from Amazon, but I'm otherwise done. I plan on wrapping everything today.
We have Christmas Eve/Day planned, too, so that is a huge thing for me this year with my dad being gone!
I'm not sure if I'll do any Christmas baking or not. It probably depends on how much of that stuff Dh brings home from work.
