I have 2 acquaintances who I have not heard anything from. They are in Hitchcock and Santa Fe… Where the flooding is the worst… And poor Erica… Just glad she is safe but can't imagine the devastation….  |

It is headed toward the Ohio Valley-our weathermen are watching it----------we could get days of torrential rain,but nothing like Texas.

I was trying to picture what 17 feet of floodwater (one measurement I saw at one point) would look like where I live. The road below us flooded in the spring when snowmelt overwhelmed the stream. But we are talking water measured in inches, NOT feet. Even if standing/flowing water was over a foot, it would still be measurable in inches. Trying to picture that in FEET is beyond my comprehension...  |

our weatherman said if it had been snow instead of rain,there would be 42 feet of snow in Houston..
