I sitting here dumbfounded. I just went to pull out a card for ds's cousins bday, and I found the baby shower card for my friend. While we were on vacation we bought gifts...so exciting.. first baby... took a long while to conceive. my first thought was... " oh no... I never rsvp'd ( another thing I never ever forget to do).... I looked at the invitation.. it was today. What is wrong with me.... I literally forget so much lately... the kids will tell me where they are going, and a while later I'm texting them, where did you go... you need to let know where you are going..... Kind of scary.... I feel really bad. Dd and I will get together with her and her husband, but still....

I'm sorry you missed your friend's shower... You've had so much going on in the last few months - so much to keep track of and up with and do. Maybe that has made for the forgetfulness.

You have had a lot of stress and you are dealing with grieving - all that takes a toll on your memory. Think of your memory as a filing cabinet. The more stuffed it gets, the harder it is to find things in it. Also, when you are grieving, it can make you totally not remember anything. When my brother died, I couldn't remember anything to save my life for a couple months. I think this is a sign that maybe you need to try to carve a bit more margin into your life. ((Hugs)))
