And now I know why people my age don't usually have toddlers! lol He is a good little guy but busy - very busy! We had fun though. It was basically from 7:45 to 4:30 twice this week and then twice again next week, so it does take a lot of time since I need to watch him over there. We did some water play. It's been a while. How old do kids need to be to play with play doh? Other ideas? His mom is sick so he is used to watching a bit of tv. I was looking to do some other things with him, but I can't remember what age my kids did what! lol Someone help me out!

Mine did play doh around age 2ish I think. DS was never one to put things in his mouth so I didn't worry about him trying to eat it. DD must have been old enough to understand "no, don't put it in your mouth." Go to the park (if its not too hot)? Mine learned to play "Candyland" at a very young age, probably 2-3ish.

I watch my niece who is going to be 4 in the fall. She gives me a run for my money! I've been watching her since she was 3 months old. I can relate to being exhausted. Things that have worn her out - lots of walks. We started a pajama walk. Just a walk around the neighborhood in her jammies. Looking for nature things. Stroller walks too. Chalk art on the sidewalk. A bucket of water and a paint brush. She would "paint" my stairs. Playdoh. Water play in the house if it was bad weather out. medicine dropper with measuring cups/spoons and a cup of water. She would measure out water on a cookie sheet. Crafts. You wouldn't believe how far a glue stick and ripped up paper would go with this kid. She loves gluing.
I'm getting my new nephew along with my niece at the end of July. Can I stock up on sleep now?
