My "aunt" passed away exactly 48 hrs after my Aunt passed away. My mom and dad's best friends all through their marriage were our "Aunt and Uncle", closer than some of my actual aunts and uncles that were family. She passed away at the age of 92. Funeral Tuesday, same day as DS;'s graduation. It will be a chaotic day. Yesterday a cousin of my mom and aunt passed away at the age of 92, also. 3 deaths in 4 days… This is a busy week with ds1's graduation, I have to vacate my Aunt's apartment….. and we go away Sunday… except for the fact that the hotel lost our reservation. This has never happened in the 28 years we have been going there. They changed ownership in December, and in March I made the reservation. Just to be safe ( and b/c I have been reading reviews online that say how it is not good anymore, how it has gone downhill since they opened in April) , I called just to confirm… and no reservation! Heartsick! They called today to say it had been "found", but on the reservation email, the prices were $30 more than I reserved for back in March. Time to make memories elsewhere! The kids are sad… I am too… this is "our" place… But I want to remember it the way it was…. I hate to go, have a lousy time, and be sick over what once was... I now have reservations at a cute inn! ( and for the first time, we got the kids their own room, as he only had a few rooms left that had only 1 Queen bed. So queen and rollaway for the kids room, and DH and I get our own room!

I'm sorry for so much loss in your life right now... Praying for you and your family as you go through all of that. The hotel sounds like kind of a sad but kind of exciting too. I hate change so I can totally relate to the sadness there. But exciting new time in a new place - with your own room for you and your DH! - too. Praying you have just as wonderful a time there as you have had at the old place in the past.

Oh cshore, I am so sorry! What a lot of heartache for you and your family. I am praying for you all. You have a lot going on with it being your son's graduation and having to deal with funerals and your aunt's apartment too. So sorry about the hotel mess too. That is not what you needed at all right now. I hope you all love the new accommodations and have a blessed time away. ((((((Big hugs and prayers))))

Thanks everyone.
The new place is super clean, very cute. Owners live on property and are always there . We just miss our memories/ traditions from the old place ... we are staying next door ...lol .... so not far from our old memories. Having fun.. very relaxing.

Today the weather is sunny, 70's and light breeze. Sitting on the shore of a small pond while the boys fish. Reading "A Year by the Sea" by a local author, and it's the most relaxed I've been in a very long time. Perfect!!! Dh took the car to Harbor Freight in Hyannis anf dd is napping back at the inn. Everyone is happy.

Goodness ! so sorry for your loss.
I am having a bit of the same, but not as quick as you are....I had an uncle pass last June (so about a year ago).....an aunt pass away in Feb, my mom passed in March, and another aunt in May of this year. So that makes 3 in the past 4 months.
Now dealing with horrible estate stuff.....headaches.
