We had a beautiful weekend with sun and temps near 60. Today we are at 40, but the sun is out! Wed and thurs are supposed to be warm again! I could go for this… Spring is coming! ( yet I know March can bring HUGE snow storms and freezing temps! How about you??? Springlike  or still wintery   |

Low 40s during the day, low 20s (possibly even into the teens) at night. Rainy. Our snow is melting - my chickens and goats actually have somewhere to go besides right outside their shelters. Green grass is even there for the goats! I'd say we are about 60/40 snow vs clear now. BUT, there is lots of mud.  Muddy boots, muddy kid shoes, muddy dog feet... Oh yeah - and the dog piles that I wasn't able to get up before the next snow storm are now appearing. YUCK! There is also concern about flooding in various local areas. We're up on a hill, but the creek on the main road below us flooded last year - same creek is high right now but not flooding in most places. There are still possibilities for snow showers in the future (actually, we had snow yesterday morning too.) But I doubt it will be accumulating at this point, at least not in significant amounts that will stay around. My garden area (past and the place I hope to expand to) are still under snow. |

It's crazy here. I think we've broken a record everyday since Sunday with the high temps. Upper 60's - I think we hit 70 one day. Supposed to continue thru the week. Makes me a little scared because every time we've gotten socked with snow it's been after an unseasonably warm period.
When it does get cold/ snowy again everyone will probably sink into depression. It feels like spring. The sunshine has been wonderful. If it gets cold it will be so sad.

BEAUTIFUL. 60s, sunny. Foggy this morning; it was gorgeous. We have a Winter Storm Watch in affect for Thurs/Fri though with the possibility of 6-12 inches of snow. I'm hoping for 12. It's only February; we still need snow.

I just found about 1 1/2 - 2 feet of standing water in the crawl space under our house. I assume its because of all the melting snow and rain and the extremely saturated ground. I'll be calling a local construction company tomorrow that a friend recommended to come pump us out.
(We are on the side of a sloping hill too - so everything from above drains toward us...)

40 degrees here during the day. Snow is melting-very unusual for us. But,unfortunately,we are going back to normal on sunday
