One of my best friends that I mentioned before was in the hospital, got the really bad news that she is in active rejection right now. Her antibody rate was 0% and now it is 89%. I don't know all the particulars, but I do know that it is very serious. She was supposed to come home today, but now has to stay until at least Sunday. At least, she has excellent insurance through her dh's job - one less thing to worry about. She has a 1 year old son too, so that is tough!

Here is a little update: The treatment they are doing for A seems to be working. There has been visible improvement in her lungs/lung function. The goal is to get her lung function back up in the 90% range and also get rid of the shadows (infection) they are seeing on her CT scans. The antibody numbers will probably take longer to come down. Overall, a good report. I am just SO thankful she went in to see the doctor. She was actually late going in. She was supposed to go in December, but put it off due to busyness. Who knows if they would have caught it at that time? God's timing is always best.  Thanks so much for praying!!! |
