I want something that has a story to it... someone who has been there/done that. I 'relate' more when someone tells about their good/bad days, blessings in the little (or big) things. I love when I share something here and one of you says "hey, that happened to me and here's what happened and how God used it".
I just ordered Kara Tippetts book, can't wait to read it... but also looking for a devotional.
Anyone?

I just bought that book for a Christmas gift. To a friend who is in real need of guidance. She is going through a lot right now. Could you in good time pray for my friend Karen. She has depression and is going through some heavy marital issues. I am not trying to steal the thread so please excuse that but when love3c named that book it called my friend to my thoughts. |

I love 'jesus calling' too. I have one or two others but the titles are not coming to mind right now, but I'll give it some thought.
Rhonda, it's great you bought a copy for your struggling friend.

I'm reading a book called Ruthless: knowing the God who fights for you by bo stern. Short chapters. Relates to her life and her dh's fight with als. Check it out and see what you think.
