I'll bet I won't have any irregular beats now… always the way.
Back on the 30th, I had 20 min of a very rapid and very irregular heart rhythm. It took my breath away. I was so anxious that I do not remember much else than feeling like my heart was going to thump out of my chest. Scary. And then it went back to a regular rate and rhythm, and I felt instantly fine… So strange Every now and then I feel palpitations… ( I have for years…) but nothing like that episode.

Scary!
Praying that this test WILL be diagnostic somehow.

Sounds like pre-menopause to me ..... I hope!
I do hope (also) that it will be a good diagnostic test for you.

I do hope (also) that it will be a good diagnostic test for you. That is what I was thinking. Those hormones can mess with your heart…everything!

This happened to my son yrs ago (he was in jr high).....he had a heart racing incident that I could see through my rear view mirror while I was driving the van and he was in the back seat. Scared me to death. We went to pediatric cardiologist - and he wore the monitor for a month.
Thankfully for him....it was due to outside stimuli......he was drinking way too many caffine drinks, and I was shoving teaspoons of over the counter meds like sudefed and other stuff to help them breath and sleep through the night.
The combination was horrible. I think for the next decade I wouldn't let ds have any OTC meds....
Hope you get some good readings and they can find the cause.

Hope they can figure out what is going on! I occasionally have times where my heart is pounding and racing fast which takes my breath away, but only for less than a minute. I would freak out if it lasted for 20!

This happens to me if I get really anxious. When I was really anemic, it was much worse. My heart sometimes gets an extra beat. I guess some people can't feel it but I ALWAYS do. It completely freaks me out! I did the holt monitor thing, too. I hope it shows at least one incident so they can see what's going on - if anything. Hormones can effect so many thing! (((hugs)))

I will get the results Tuesday. I have had that Thump-thump feeling with palpitations for years… It was the 20 minutes of my heart rate and rhythm feeling so out of control. Felt like it would burst out of my chest. I couldn't catch my breath and can't remember much of that 20 min, except feeling like I was going to die.
So scary… I don't want to feel THAT ever again. But it would be nice if they could pinpoint what it may have been.

Yikes. They weren't able to give you any info from the monitoring? I'm sorry, that sounds scary. ((hug)) Heart palpitations wasn't a menopausal symptom for me. Unless I forgot (which was a menopausal symptom for me!), but I'm thinking that sounds like something I'd remember. Prayers for you! xoxo

Relieved that all is fine. I had 16 irregular beats ( which is nothing in the whole scheme of things. In a 24 hr period you have about 100,000 beats.)
So that is good. Still does not explain the weird 20 minute episode of fast irregular out of control heartbeats. But if it happens again, I need to go to the ER to try to catch it on a heart monitor or EKG. Hoping that never happens again.
Thanks for the prayers!!!!!!
