You know, this summer, I really thought we were going to lose my dad. It just didn't seem good. Even my oldest son said he thought grandpa was going to die. Today, my dad is walking around the house without his cane, and only using a cane when he is out of the house. (If you'll remember, he was in a wheelchair at one point). I just checked his numbers and they are the best they've looked in a good 8 months. I prayed so hard for more time with my dad. I reminded God about Hezekiah and how God gave him more years so he could serve God longer. I know that God doesn't always answer those prayers with a yes (and I don't know why He sometimes says yes and sometimes no - wish I did), but I am so thankful that He's allowed me this extra time. I've tried really hard to not waste it. It's so easy to get busy and let the urgent take over the important. Thank you all for your prayers during that time this summer/fall. I really, really appreciate them. I just wanted to share how well my dad is currently doing and how very thankful I am for that!
