I taught my kids about "Madlibs" tonight. Any of you remember "Madlibs"? My friends and I used to love them as kids. DS is 7 and learning parts of speech at school - so it seemed like a good time to introduce this game. But this is what you get when you teach a 7 yo boy (and his younger sister) to do Madlibs... (Notice all the references to fart! ) How to Wrap a Present
Before you start to wrap your Christmas present make sure you have plenty of GREEN paper and plenty of FARTS to stick to the package. If you are wrapping something BLUE, such as a BUILDING, it is best to tape BUNNY (the word asked for here was "something soft") around any parts that might BURP. Then take brown wrapping BATTLESHIP and wrap it very MEANLY. Take care that there is not a SPIKE poking out anywhere. Now take the expensive ORANGE paper that you bought at the MR. FARTYPANTS store and make a SPARKLY package. Finally, put stickers on that say "Do not TALK until Christmas" and put it under the tree with all the other COLD FARTS. Then on Christmas morning, when you see all of your YELLOW relatives opening their packages and saying "ROAR!" you will feel positively WHITE.

We love Mad Libs around here. Without them, how would we know that bagels are made of "brothers, dipped into barely boiling barium and then baked"?

SO funny!!
My kids LOVED MadLibs! Especially on car trips… They would be giggling uncontrollably in the back, and could barely read the paragraph once it was done because they had cracked themselves up so much! DD used to use outrageous words to make goofy stories….
But the boys… it was always about farts and burps. Slime and monsters.
But it did teach them about adjectives and parts of speech!!!
MAdLibs are so much fun!!! Great gifts for kids!

We love Madlibs! 8 year old daughter made it even funnier with her pronunciation issues-no offense intended to others with similar issues. We also love playing hangman as a family
