I know there is a detergent that is for cold water washing. I don't use it. I just use regular detergent The he (high efficiency)
Do you ever use regular detergent and cold water? ( I always use warm… are my clothes any cleaner? Or can I save energy and use cold ( and my normal detergent???)
You would think that having done laundry for 30+ years, I would know...

I use arm and hammer liquid with cold water all the time. I usually wash darks on cold, light colors on warm but sometimes I do both on cold. If its extra dirty I use a non-chlorine bleach in the load too. Everything comes out pretty clean usually.
I generally do whites on hot though - mostly because of dish clothes and cleaning rags.

I use cold water and All Free & Clear detergent almost invariably. Every now and then I will do a load with hot water, but the vast majority of the time I use cold.

I use regular laundry detergent (Charlie's or Gain) with cold water on all my colored clothes. They come out nice and clean. The only things I wash on warm or hot are towels and whites.

I do not ever wash on cold because we can sometimes have rusty water. My washing machine uses a cold rinse cycle.
I wash clothing on warm, towels & bedding on hot.
We use HE. I buy the Sear's Brand.

all my OWN clothes and DH's are only washed in COLD water with regular detergent. (sometimes whites get warm water...maybe) I'm beyond picky about my clothes I use the free & clear soap from Costco (or ALL) only the boys laundry (always washed separate from mine) get warm water sheets and towels get hot.

I wash everything in cold. I use Tide or my homemade detergent. I switch them out every few months. Towels get vinegar, detergent and cold water.

Only cold water here (there is no other option) I use industrial detergent on everything but my clothes which get a free and clear type detergent.

I wash everything in cold except for towels and bedding.
I don't use special soap for it. Just the normal HE type. Normally Tide or Gain. Love the smell of gain, but use tide for the boys things a good bit. (Esp in the summertime when they're getting them dirtier.)
