Okay, I was thinking about this last night as I was cooking dinner and then Laney said something about it in the Christmas Dinner thread so I feel it's a valid question Do you make something for that your family loves to eat and you really could go without it?
I make baked mac and cheese for my family and they all love it but honestly I couldn't care less if I never ate it again.
Anyone else?

We make sugar cookies for the kids to decorate. Honestly, I think everybody (kids included) would probably not care if we had them around to eat. DH and I don't eat them usually. The kids eat them but I think its mostly because they got to decorate them first. When they are beyond enjoying the cookie decorating part, I doubt we'll make them anymore.

I'm a picky eater and a super taster. I made a LOT of food for my family that I don't like; sesame chicken, stir fry, chicken strips, chicken burgers, anything breaded, fish, ANY vegetables.......
I have always been a horrid role model.

Steak...and we have a lot of it because we butcher our own steers. I do not care for it at all, but the rest of the family loves it. I just make sure I make lots of other stuff on steak night to fill me up.

Pretty much just ham. I don't like store bought ground beef so if we are out of ours and I have to make store bought I just don't eat it, it grosses me out.

If ever there is seafood cooked here, I don't eat it. (Which I also don't know how to cook it, since I don't eat it, so it's mostly just frozen fish, if so.)
Eggs. I make them for my people. Don't eat them. Icky.
Broccoli. I make it for them all the time. Have never liked it. (I try to eat one tiny piece b/c I know it's healthy, but I just don't like the stuff. Wish I did.) My people like it a lot though.
There's this kung pao chicken that Trader Joe's sells. It's a family meal thing that's par cooked and frozen. I make it for my family, but I don't like it. (I like kung pao chicken from some of the restaurants, but not this particular one.) It's a quick meal for me to make for them, though. And, they like it.
