I usually think "ham" for Christmas dinner. I love it… my Mom loves it, but everyone else just tolerates it. Was thinking about a roast beef?
What do you serve for Christmas Day dinner???

We usually go to my sister's house, & she will have turkey and ham. I do Christmas Eve, and we've done all sorts of different things. Sometimes a really formal meal, other times I've done chili. Last year we had pulled pork on pretzel rolls ... delicious!! I think this year we are going to have Prime Rib, Shrimp Cocktail, etc.

I'm currently leaning toward appetizers and maybe a soup. You know easy stuff that can be "picked at" all day and won't have me tied up in the kitchen but I haven't firmly decided yet

SO glad I don't have to cook! My MIL does Christmas dinner and it is usually ham and turkey; just like Thanksgiving. We do sloppy joes, mini wienies, and LOTS of treats in the evening at my sister's house.

Christmas Eve is Steak & Shrimp. Christmas Day will be ham (Ugh! I don't like ham).

MIL is in charge. I don't think it's the same thing every year. I know she has a ham for this year, and I'm making potatoes au gratin to bring along. Also, the Big Family Meal will be on Christmas Eve this year because we'll have church on Christmas Day. Our family will probably just do sandwiches or spaghetti or something on Christmas Day, lol.

Christmas day will be sandwich platter type stuff at my parents for lunch - since its a busy day, we wanted to make it easy so we could visit, do Christmas with grandparents and then get the kids back to our own house with plenty of time left to relax at home.
Christmas Eve will just be our little family of 4. In the past, this has often been when with do stuff with my parents and we do a big dinner then. This year we are doing it differently. I think we will try to do something fun for lunch since we will have church in the evening - that will be easier. I thought about pizza (Pizza Hut pizza is reserved for special occasions in our house), but I think we are doing 1-2 other "eat out" meals for special things with the kids this month so we probably won't do Pizza Hut. Often we have done tacos with my family for Christmas (special tacos - shredded flanksteak not ground beef!) DH and I love those and I have some flanksteak in the freezer. DS would like them too. DD wouldn't - but she doesn't like much of anything so... I'm not comletely sure yet. But I am leaning towards tacos right now.

If I cook the Xmas day meal, it's an all out feast, and 25 folks or so.
This yr, I am hosting xmas eve....with just family, about 14 people. I have done ham, or lasagna, or london broil in the past.
This yr i am thinking of appetizers, variety of desserts, and maybe ham....haven't decided yet.

We ended up doing roast beef, mashed potatoes, and every.blessed.thing else for Thanksgiving. I'm gonna do ham for Christmas, but am debating whether or not I want to order one from the honey baked place or not. I've never done that before, but I just want -- easier. Probably won't though b/c that's so expensive. I love ham. Will probably do the normal basics. Ham, biscuits, mac and cheese, (a couple of other sides, but not sure what yet), and dessert (which I don't know what yet. Want to do something different, but ?? )

We used to do leg of lamb for Christmas when I was a kid. We raised our own sheep, so it was always our lamb. We've done that a few times since my parents stopped breeding sheep about 10 years ago. I still enjoy it. But somehow its now quite the same as knowing we raised it.

This year we are are my moms.... ham for sandwiches, lots of dips and snacks and cheeses. Maybe cheesy potatoes (not for me thank you.).
Christmas Eve we are doing just the four of us. I'm making chicken wings and a sushi bake. Random but fun foods.
