This was DD's AWANA Cubbie's verse this week.
"The Lord is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King." (Jer 10:10)
Our true, living and everlasting God IS King - He is in full control. Whatever else changes around us, good or bad, nothing can ever change this!

Praise God for faithful workers who help our children learn truth! Our little son is in Kindergarten, and their very first Bible memory passage of the year was Colossians 1:15-18, and it is deep and complex. My impression was that it was a daunting and perhaps overly ambitious passage for such little ones. But the children mastered it, learning a little at a time for a month or so! They rose to the expectations of a kind teacher, without thinking it was too difficult, I don't think. Anyway .... in helping him practice, the truths of that section sunk into this mama's heart, and I had peace throughout this election process as a result: 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.\0/

I'm helping the kids with their verses or we are doing their Bible reading together or I am teaching/explaining something spiritual to them - and God speaks to ME in it! That Colossians verse is wonderful. Very fitting for these days - something I need to remember for for ALL days actually.
