MI was finally called for trump
Trump 306 electoral votes Hillary 232 electoral votes
I read that when they finish counting MI votes, that Trump will win popular votes also

Well… regardless of political views and preferences, we can probably all agree that it was one of the most memorable campaigns EVER…

Was I Shocked...honestly not really. I don't think even with all the progressive things our country has done that we are ready for a female president. I do think some of it was gender. I really do. I also think so many people are just plain fed up with those in washington pushing the "rights" of the few over the needs and issues of the many. It's one of the reasons I did vote for Trump, because it's a huge disruption to the whole idea of what's going on. while I think he is a total pig sometimes...so are a great many men and some presidents too. (like the fact that most liberals I know aren't even remembering the husband of Hillary at all when they talk about men being totally gross about women..um ok people). Once I saw that Trump was leading in Florida I knew it was done and just waited all night for the rest of the country and major states to turn red. Or course my own state was blue..it's always that way...I rarely have a voice here in any election, even local ones. What's hardest now is I live only 20 minutes from Portland...yes THAT portland the one on the news...I have friends who marched...yep...not ones who caused destruction but are so hurt and afraid. I can't say anything on facebook because I RESPECT my friends and their feelings right now. Especially those without God's HOPE in their life, they truly have fear right now. I don't think Trump will be as horrid as the media who totally thought Hillary was going to win so much so they jsut assumed it and found their own facts to support their own opinions. They even admitted it.
I think people are going to be hurt and very divided for a long time...maybe in a year after trump does something or not people will calm down and start to rationally think about the fact that people don't always get their way. Until people reach more of a calm understanding I'm going to just keep my own opinions quiet and show just what I always do to my friends whom I often don't agree with...I'm going to be their friend and show love and caring and not point out all the differences because nothing is reached by that. Only my best friend knows I voted for trump and she just can't believe I did but I explained my side and whys and though she still couldn't understand she agreed that I did so with an educated mindset and respects that I have my own voice and she still loves me.
anyway it's totally crazy but I don't keep my hope in the government anyway.

Thanks for sharing that. I think it's really lovely of you to show such a respect for others feelings. I love that you and your bf can agree to disagree.
