I have at least one film camera (simple point-and-shoot type) that I need to get rid of. I have a couple other film cameras that I am keeping for different reasons. But one of my two simple ones needs to go away.
It still works well...but who wants a film camera these days?
I thought about letting the kids just play with it (actually, I had a couple rolls of film still in my freezer and I did let them take those rolls). But they both have cameras and/or use my camera and don't need a toy camera that won't take pictures (I'm not giving them endless rolls of film to use).
What else could I do with the one I don't want to keep?

Dispose it or see if other local children would like it to dissect it

Contact your local high school. Film photography is making a big come back. Classes are booked at our 4 area high schools for the next year.
Our teachers keep a camera or 2 on hand for loaning to students.
Edited to say - also Community Colleges or even a camera store. Ours takes donations and even sometimes pays $ for old cameras.

Also depending on the camera - there are some online places that will buy. Some maybe just for parts.
