And she called today with the biopsy results and it is a squamous cell carcinoma. Very tiny but will need surgery to get rid of it.
So, ladies… check your skin….
This spot was red, dry , about the size of a pencil eraser… and had a little pointy spike I couldn't see, but feel...
I thought it was just a dry patch or one of those keratoses...

Good catch ! Glad you went in early That's exactly what the Dr said… It was hard to ignore… It's right on my temple, so I brush it when I put on my glasses, makeup, or do my hair. Even washing or drying my face, I felt it…. which is a good thing!

Glad you found it early, and I hope the surgery is as easy as possible. *hugs* Thanks. They just called to schedule the surgery. Nov 15th. I say "surgery" but it's not a huge deal. I am thankful for medical testing and doctors and ways to cure it!!!

Glad you got it checked!
I need to make an appointment. I have a funny spot on my forehead. Kind of a squishy spot. Weird. Like a water blister that was partially drained. (TMI? sorry)

Goodness, hope it's going well today. ((hug))
I have a small place on the top of my forehead that is dry...and it doesn't go away. It just showed up a couple of months ago.
I'm gonna make a call today to go get it checked. You've lit a fire under me. Thank you.
Update when you can. *hug*

Glad you caught it early. A friend of min let hers go and go and go and by the time she had someone check it, it was quite a deep cut to get it all. Hope all went well today!

Thanks everyone. My head hurts. The pressure dressing is killing my temple and forehead… what a headache. I am going to shower in a few minutes to kind of soak the bandage off… It is not too big, but it's stuck in my hair… But… It is all gone/. Dr feels confident that it was not only " worlds tiniest squamous cell growth" but it was "in situ" so no spread . IF I have ( and hopefully I will not) even a small scaling, tingling, redness or anything abnormal, I will need to go to Yale for a bigger surgery… but she is thinking that is very highly unlikely. So all is well…. I am on DH to make an appointment for a spot on the top of his head.
And I wil hound any of you that need to do the same!!!!!!
And I will be an avid sunscreen wearer …
Thanks for the love and prayers!!!!!!!!

Good to hear! Praying the pain will go away soon (and that removing that bandage will help!)
