I have been off the board but know the power of prayer and I know my Hearts Sisters will step up for me. My life has been difficult lately. My parents live in a state of pain and stress with both of them caring sickness and severe health issues. My Mother has her license taken due to her repeated episodes of seizures and auto accidents. Last week her neurologist gave her the papers to submit to get her privileges back. I am so afraid that she will have another accident and take the life of someone.
My DH lost his job a couple weeks ago so here we are wondering what is next. God has always provided but I would be lying if I did not admit that I am concerned.
My church lost our Pastor due to many issues and some of the members blamed our deacons... and my DH was one. Some of the members wanted to blame them so much that they questioned the faith of a dear friend of mine who was a Deacon and wanted to vote on his removal as a deacon. It response to that he stepped down. In the meeting that this took place they finger pointing... began on all Deacons.. and when they tried to answer to address the issues... which had a lot to due with how they related to the Pastor.. they were told they could not bring the Pastor's name up because he was not there to defend himself. It was hurtful to say the least. My husband stepped down as Deacon a couple weeks later. They still continues to be strife. Many members have left our church and our church's unity is broken. There is a pulpit committee looking for a new pastor. We are also going to have a mediator come from outside our church to work through some of the issues. My heart is broken and I can not explain how hurtful and how frustrating this has been for my whole family.
Please pray for my church and my family. I am overwhelmed. |

oh,. Rhonda… That's too much to deal with at once.
I will be praying. I can imagine how overwhelmed you must be.
Praying for your Church, your DH, for work for your DH and for your parents and their health, for safety for your Mom and others on the road… ( kind of surprised that the Dr is allowing her to get her driving privileges back after so many accidents and health issues ( does she have to re-test at the motor vehicle dept???

my guess is that my Mother wanted her privileges back so badly that she was not honest about her condition. Her MRIs came back clear of a reason for her seizures. She has experienced them on and off for years and they always claim they are brought on my stress and fatigue. She is primary caregiver for my Dad who is barely mobile with Parkinson's and Dementia. I was there a few weeks ago and witnessed another episode with her in a sitting in a chair. She is so stubborn. Her last accidents were in February and again.. exactly two months after in April. She totaled both cars. I am worried for everyone who might come in her path. I had stressed this to her and she fails to take it to heart. My church lost out pastor in August and things have been miserable since. It breaks my heart.
