We have a good bit leftover. I actually got more than last year, because last year it went rather quickly, but there haven't been nearly as many kids this year. I think maybe some groups of teenagers came down our street last year and didn't this year.
It's also possible that kids are skipping our house - we're on a corner, so the driveway is on one side and the front porch is on a different side.
We always just put a bowl of candy on the porch because we have little people that we're taking around the neighborhood ourselves. So I don't know exactly how many we've had.

Its early here yet - only 6pm. We never get any though. We're in a small, rural cul-de-sac off the main road. There's a few kids nearby close to my kid's age but not many.
I'm taking our kids to our church's "Kids Fall Festival" (as soon as DD eventually finishes her dinner...) DH will be here and we do have candy around (collected from DS's school carnival night actually) just in case. Our yard/driveway is fully fenced and the gate is closed. (I almost always keep the gate closed - our dog is usually in the house but I worry about roaming dogs harassing my goats and chickens and cat.) The house lights are on - people can tell someone is here. But I highly doubt there will be anyone.

21 kids. I gave handfuls of candy to each kid. I've already eaten my weight in tootsie rolls and didn't want it left around here. I'm done. Next year I'll be gone. Our neighborhood has LOTS of kids. I don't understand. We're at the end of a culdesac but we used to get lots of kids. There is a walking path to the next street so isn't really a dead end.

I don't think I've ever had a trick or treater. I don't even buy candy.

None. Never.....even when I had kids.
My drive way opens out to a busier road.....the neighborhood entrance is one house away....so kids go to that neighborhood, but no one will walk out to my house.
When my kids were young they would cut through backyards and end up in the neighborhood.
I did drive ds to a highschool group part.....and the teenagers were dressed and hanging out in the drive way - passing out candy - that neighborhood had lots of little kids....parents in golf carts, parents dressed up, etc....
We are having such a beautiful October in Indiana
