Its not often I enjoy refereeing an argument between the kids - in fact, I would say I have NEVER enjoyed it. Until tonight. It was just too funny.
They were arguing about whether an elephant was a mammal or a reptile. Actually, they weren't arguing "over" that as much as one thought the other said an elephant is a reptile when he actually didn't say that. It was so funny that I just had to laugh.
They are 7 and 4 1/2. I was rather impressed that they (especially 4 1/2 yo) would actually distinguish mammals and reptiles well enough to argue that they were sure than an elephant was a mammal.
It was probably the weirdest and funniest argument that I have ever refereed. And I'll admit, there is just a bit of momma pride in their knowledge too.
