Its a gray, very wet day here - and I'm enjoying the coziness of it.
DH is at work. DS is at school. Its just DD and me here.
I went out this morning in the rain and took care of the chickens and goats. Weirdly enough, I find that satisfying. I grew up with that - outdoor animals that needed care whatever the weather. (I also grew up in Puget Sound where its wet (and usually muddy) late fall through spring. I loved it. There is something that just is nostalgic and satisfying to me about going out to take care of my animals in rainy, wet weather. (Yeah, I know, I'm weird!)
Inside, I've been playing CDs of John Williams and the Boston Pops as I've worked on things. I have done a small load of laundry and hung it on a rack to dry inside. The dishwasher is running. I vacuumed. I've got a batch of bread rising. I actually lit candles in the house for a little while - I very rarely do that, except once in a while at night if the kids ask for it in the winter. DD is finishing watching a "Wild Kratts" episode on DH's computer. We'll probably play a game after that.
I need to exercise before lunch. I'll probably work on some kitchen cleaning and organizing projects. Maybe a story or something with DD - I'm sure she'll want to play a game but not sure what she'll want after that.
All in all, just a cozy day inside for us.
