About how long can you be "up" before you start feeling like you're gonna hit the wall?
For me, it's about 12 hours.
And it's been this way for .... oh, 7 yrs.
I first noticed it the year that I was dx with cancer (7 yrs. ago).
I'd be working & man, by the time I got home I wanted to konk out, but of course had dinner to start, kids to parent, etc.
Cancer treatment pretty much rendered this a permanent part of my life.
12 hours up & about .... & I'm thinking about being done for the day.
Before cancer, I'd get tired but not exhausted.
And I was an 8-9 hours of sleep a night person. Now it's minimum of 9 & depending on my activity,
sometimes I need 10-11 hours of sleep.
About 18 months after chemo my cardiologist dx me with vascular disease & said that I would fatigue easily.
Apparently I have scarring of my veins so I don't get the blood flow that "healthy" persons do.
Hence, my blood clots.
So ..... I'm back to work now .... @ this new job.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!
I'm literally treating it like an extension of my home.
I can "be at home," or I can "be at work."
I have my own classroom ... my own exit door to the outside world (it's wonderful!).
Today was busy & I had errands to run after.
I didn't like that so much .... so much for having some rest this afternoon.
It's 8:16 & I HAVE TO GO TO BED.
The debate is on tonight .... I'll have to record it. Bummer.
I'm just feeling bummed tonight.
Be honest with me ..... how long can you go without needing to go to bed?
I'm trying to be in bed by 9:30-ish, sometimes earlier, & I'm waking up @ 5:45 on weekdays.
For me, it's about 12 hours.
