DONE.
I started my online program on Wednesday. I have already read over 100 pages of text and taken a quiz (100%) and a test (86%). I now know what the tests will look like for my one class. It was TOUGH. I will be having weekly tests and quizzes. My brain is starting to feel like mush. I have literally done little else this week. But it does feel good to be stretched and pushed. Not that I post a lot here .... but I suspect it might be even less. But I do read and pray so I'm not gonna be totally out of the loop. Y'all can pray for me .... to balance school and kids and husband and ministry and friendships and household responsibilities well.

I have recurring dreams (like real sleep dreams - not aspirations) of being back in college. They always go about the same - that I'm within days of the end of the semester and I just realize that I forgot to do the HUGE major project that takes weeks to do and that will be worth nearly all of my grade. I'm always glad to realize its only a dream - and that I'm done with school.  Praying for wisdom for good balance in your life and success in your classes!  |

Oh Yakky,
that is WONDERFUL!!! whatever it is that you are pursuing (counseling?), you will be great at.
I know that you are determined to finish what you started.
I want to caution you to take things a step @ a time. Prioritize & don't try to do it all.
You'll be better off for that .... as well as those around you.
I tried working & going to school & parenting & helping my husband in his business when my kids were little
& I ended up with an auto-immune reaction (illness) that will be with me for the rest of my life.
I was 34 yrs. old then. That's a long time ago for me, & to still have to deal with this .... ugh.
My meds are insanely expensive.
Anyway, like you, I went back to school again ... some years later .... & that time I finished.
Everyone in my family had to help out to some degree.
Delegate as you need to do. Seriously, don't try to do it all.
It's exciting to read this. Oh I remember those days.
I'll be right behind you again .... as I'm teaching & will have to get certification if I choose to hang with this.
I'll pray for you.
Enjoy the journey!! It really is life-changing.

YAY!!!!! Good job! Excellent grades!  I cannot imagine going back to school at this point…. ( mainly because all of the work is done online…. I am not sure I am tech-savvy enough to do that!!!) Part of me would like to try though!! So great! I will pray for you as you work hard and continue to do well!!!! (((((hugs))))) |
