We are having two families over, going bowling and playing board games. I made chicken bbqs, beans, and some other sides for dinner.

We don't celebrate. I didn't celebrate growing up and B didn't either. I dislike fireworks set off at home, I usually end up getting hurt. LOL

Dh has never been much of a celebratory kind of person, for events such as this, but I am!
He's ALWAYS in bed before midnight. This year, we are invited to my sister's Surf & Turf party ... lobster, scallops, shrimp, & beef tenderloin (yum!), and we're going. Driving separate.
Dh has to work tomorrow, so he'll leave by 10:30. I'll stay 'til the new year.
I'm taking cheddar rolls tonight & Cheesecake Factory cheesecake.

We've spent all day cleaning out our storage unit. I'm on cloud 9!!!
Tonight, we're working through our 40-day challenges with the kids.
The older 3 will attempt to stay up. The older two will probably make it.
Dh and I will be having a private party from 9pm on.

I'm making some Italian soup that dh loves and some brownies (both of which I need to be working on now). Kids will go to bed at normal time and dh and I will nap off and on until midnight then we'll kiss and go to bed. Very exciting.

We'll ring in the new year with the kids. They will probably be more awake than us come midnight. We'll probably watch movies and eat popcorn. I plan to get some sparkling cider. The kids would love a Star Wars or Lord of the Rings marathon. We'll see.

Quiet night at home. Our church is doing something late tonight - but only one of us could go because we really don't want to try to keep and/or get the kids up. So kids will be going to bed as usual and we'll have a quiet night here. I'll drug our dog about 10pm or so (he's terrified of fireworks!) Probably won't be up until midnight - but fireworks may wake us up then. Kind of missing our Pullman church NYE party at the moment. Haven't been in a few years now but just knowing what all our friends there are doing tonight... BUT we will be playing games with some more local friends tomorrow afternoon - adults will play games while kids play mostly but kids (especially their oldest) may play some too.

Dh and I usually spend most of the night together but his off day tomorrow was cancelled so he is already in bed (and has been for a couple of hours). I think I'll turn in soon too.

My party was a blast. It turned it out that a lot of people were sick and couldn't make it. I don't with sickness on people BUT I do enjoy a smaller gathering. There were about 15 people. 2 I had met before, 2 I had never met and the rest were mutual friends. A great time was had by all and I didn't get home until 1:30!
