They are not "miracle drugs"…. yet he was promoting them in that way. He needs to be much more responsible in what he says, as he has a pretty big audience, and some take his medical advice as Gospel. I think he has a lot of good advice, generally speaking.

I share a lot of his opinions and have a good bit of respect for him.  That diet pill stuff was kind of unfortunate. The media is not all that kind and doesn't always portray the most accurate views of things. Or at the very least, tell the full story.  I agree though, I have thought before that I wish that he'd limit the things that he puts out there a little bit. I've watched his show since the beginning (and even taped the shows when he was going to be on when he was just doing oprah), and from what I've gathered, he likes to put information out there and leaves it to his audience to make informed choices about that information. He'll give his opinions a lot of times too. (Which aren't always positive regarding the products, etc.) From what I've been able to tell, he discusses the things that are out there that folks are hearing about and want to know more about. Although, he has been very adamant about the fact that he endorses nothing. I don't always agree with him, but I don't always agree with anyone, lol. I have learned a lot of things from him over the years. |
