Excited children, dessert topping,
Carols on the radio
Wrap and bake and Ho-Ho-Ho!
Check the list and clean the house
Paint nails, scrub toilet, iron blouse.
It's feeling crazy-- it's almost here--
We're so full of Christmas cheer!
Take a minute, stop and breathe--
Make this space on Christmas Eve--
In the bustle, all is well,
For Christ is born-- Emanuel.
