I have to laugh at your "anti-princess" thing. I am sooooooo glad my DD is into princesses and NOT reptiles. I am terrified of reptiles, especially snakes. She's not a girly girl all the time. She likes to play outside and get dirty but tutus and tiaras do seem to be her default setting.

I'm not sure where she got the reptile thing. I don't mind reptiles - I enjoy seeing snakes outside and such (so long as they aren't rattlesnakes.) But I don't love them. I'm really hoping her fascination does not grow into wanting a real reptile as a pet - I would prefer not to have pet reptiles! Perhaps this is what I get though for seeing snakes or frogs outside and hollering for the kids to come and look.

Awww - when I was in that 4-6 year age I LOVED reptiles of all kinds. Whenever we went to the zoo, I wanted to go to the reptile house! I know - kind of weird. I've never had one as a pet - mostly because their care is very detailed - but I still find them fascinating.
