All the girl drama is such a huge part of why we are homeschooling older dd to begin with and now we are dealing with the same mess at home. Only this time it is more hurtful because dd's "best" friend (who knows what dd went through in school) is now practically using the school girls' playbook because she knows how much it hurt her before.
We had co-op today (I was there) and saw the blatant ignoring and walking off as soon as dd walked up and pulling other people away. This has been going on for awhile and lets face it you can only deal with your kid crying so much! I called the mom this afternoon (she is one of my closest friends so it seemed like a natural solution) she has "just found out about all this" and my dd "is being mean to everyone and causing problems" Never mind that I saw the stuff her daughter was pulling with my own eyes. My dd didn't have a second to be mean to anyone because she couldn't even get close enough to anybody to speak to them.
She cried all afternoon and I've cried all afternoon. I'm glad that God has pretty clearly closed the door on co-op next year (for lots of different reasons). We don't need the extra drama that has surrounded it for this whole school year.

I'm sorry. Teen years are hard enough as it is. Add in friend troubles and it's the worst. I've prayed as well.

I'm so sorry. The teen years are so yucky…particularly for girls.

I'm sorry... I still remember being "betrayed" by my best friend in about 6th grade... I was actually just reading tonight about Judas Iscariot and Jesus. I am so in awe of that relationship really. Jesus chose Judas, knowing what that choice would mean. Judas was one of the 12 - Jesus' inner circle of close friends. In Matthew (the passage I was reading tonight), Jesus still called Judas his friend, even at the moment that he was betrayed and arrested. But how painful that must have been for him, to have his friend treat him in such a horrible way... I share that, not because there are answers there to fix your situation, but simply to say that Jesus knows exactly what your DD is going through. And God the Father knows what you are going through, watching your child endure such hurt. Praying for you and your DD.
