How's everyone doing? my exercise has been more consistent this week. Eating has been a bit all over the place but I'm going to baby step my way through trim healthy mama and see what happens.

I have walked the past 5 days( yesterday for 40 min!!)… today it's pouring… hope to walk later …
I have been consciously eating less, and trying to cut back on sweets! Just had a banana for breakfast! Will make oatmeal next.
Off to take care of dogs and then do some errands, and walk this afternoon!

My eating has been awful!!!! It is kind of trend lately. my exercise has been good though not what I've been shooting for. I'm averaging 20,000 steps a day but I've been shooting for 30,000.
I'm down 3 pounds (which doesn't really count because I was up another 7). My weight has been in a free fall (except that it is going higher and a very quick rate).

I've been consistent in daily exercise since Sunday. Today probably won't happen, but I'm ok with that. Tomorrow it will be back at it! I mentioned in an earlier post that I'm aiming for every day knowing that some days it will just not happen. But if I've made a point of trying to make it happen every day, I am finding that even when I miss a day or two, that's all I've missed. Instead of "whoops, where did the week go" and finding that I did nothing at all. So far, my strategy is working for me. I've tried to be better about just not snacking too - especially at night after the kids go to bed and I want to relax (that's the worst for me!). And eating less sweet stuff - I'm not cutting it out but I am eating less of it. Last summer, I was within 5 pounds of my goal weight. Then my FIL's problems and death and all the trips we had to make down there (and eating out in the process) and then Christmas goodies and too tired or "busy" to exercise...I'm back to back 19 pounds from my goal. (No, 17 pounds now - I've lost 2 in the last couple weeks!) My personal plan/goal is really to get back on track with where I was and get rid of the bad habits that I've picked up in recent months again. I'm not in an unhealthy place right now - but if I keep going where I was going, I would be heading that direction. And while where I am may not be "unhealthy", it is not ideal either - especially when I realized how out of shape I had gotten!

Well, last week I was sick so I lost a couple days. As for food, I haven't completely kicked the sweets/grains. When I don't eat grains, I find my sweet tooth almost completely goes away. I really need to get back to it! I haven't been eating horribly or a ton - just not quite where I need to be. I signed up for Giam's streaming yoga videos. Yesterday, I did this one where I was squatting constantly for like 20 minutes. I could barely move today! lol I suppose I worked those muscles at least! I need to get back to coming in here and putting in my exercise/eating every day. It really helps to keep me accountable!

yesterday I was on the bike for 118 minutes....35 miles. I try to ride at a steady pace...using music, so some songs might be faster, some slower...but then the last 2 miles I always use as a cool down, and ride very very slow. My longest ride ever was 50 miles, and that took me 3-1/2 hrs. (I need to work on bladder control almost as much as endurance )

I had a good week of exercise. I had stopped using my elliptical and pilates reformer for quite awhile. However, I had my annual checkup in January, and the doctor got on me a little bit, so I've been motivated to step it up a bit. My BMI is still in the "normal" range, but just barely. DH and I are still doing two fast days per week (500 calories for each of those days for me, 600 for him since he's a guy). My weight is coming down consistently though it went up around the holidays and I'm still not all the way down to my pre-holiday low.

I got the Trim Healthy Mama book out of the library and I'm giving the eating plan a whirl too. I'm in 11 days now and I hope I will start seeing some results.

Did you get the plan book or cookbook or original? I guess technically I'm about 11 days into it too but the first 7 I didn't do well at all. Yesterday was my best day so I'm considering making it day 1, lol. Even then I wasn't 100% on plan. I made soup from the cookbook and realized my soup base has in a no no sugar so once I run out of that I will have to find a new one. I'm definitely more prepared for this week though so I'm hoping to be at least 80% on plan all week.

I've mostly been on plan but have had a meal or two that isn't so I've just made sure to eat on plan meals for the rest of the day. I know I won't be able to stick to it 100% and I'm okay with that. I think if I can just eliminate sugar from my diet I'll at least be healthier lol. Like you, I have made "on plan" recipes only to realize after that one of the ingredients contained sugar or whatever. I think it will take time to get the hang of it all but I'm going to keep plugging away at it and learn as I go along! Lol
