I got "Word Up" by Cameo going through my head.
Anyone else got some great 80's pop culture memories to share?

I could have sworn I saw MC Hammer pants in the teen section of Kohls this morning! Can't touch that!

The 80's do appear to be "cool" again. Before you know it, the 90's grunge look will be back too. I actually did see some 90's lace up boots at the mall a couple weeks ago.

I was thinking about the 80s toys and/or cartoons that have re-appeared in the last few years. My Little Pony Care Bears Ninja Turtles There are probably others but that's what comes to mind at the moment. (BTW, I much prefer the 80s version of My Little Ponies than the ones today - just my preference.)

When my ds took his driver's ed last summer, he watched VHS tapes that had MC Hammer on them. LOL We just watched Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure last night. I don't think that I had seen it since it came out in 89.

Man, when there are '80s songs on, I always get a flood of memories..or some sort of nostalgic something or other washes over me. The brain is a complicated thing. I know that the part of your brain that is associated with memory is near the part of your brain that is associated with smell, so that is why you can have memories come from scents. I wonder if it's the same for the part of your brain that is associated with hearing (or processing? or whatever). Perhaps, b/c the memory/smell part is near the ear. :dunno: High school in the '80s was a fun time to be alive.
