I started my grain detox today. I am hoping it will help with the tremendous amount of muscle/joint pain I have. I didn't do yoga much over break and man! could I feel it. especially in the mornings! I'm tired of feeling tired and yucky, so I've decided to start cultivating habits that improve health. My goals for this week are: No grains (obviously!) Drink enough water Do yoga at least 5x Walk the dog for 30 minutes 5x/week Take my supplements Add veggies to each meal To keep myself accountable: Breakfast: Gingerbread nut muffins (no grains so they were kind of dense); coffee Lunch: Cream of broccoli soup/salad with vinegar/oil (I made the broccoli soup and it was SO good - recipe from a book so it wasn't me but I'll make it again!!) Dinner: Broiled fish on potato stacks I did my yoga and I did walk the dog but only about 15 minutes today because I had to go pick up the kids. I probably need to down a bit more water too, but I did take all of my supplements! I got probably 4 servings of veggies. I think I'll go eat an apple to add another produce serving.

That's a good start. I'm doing 17 day diet gal's winter challenge to help me lose weight. The transistional optional day is today and the challenge starts tomorrow.
