This will be the first follow up with the actual surgeon (rather than one of his assistants).
Hope it goes well. DD1 is sorely frustrated by the painfully slow healing process. (Estimated date of full recovery is still the end of March - six months post op.)

How difficult for someone so young!!! Encourage her from all the "more experienced" ladies here that following doctor's orders and dealing with it for this (relatively) short season will lead to a much stronger knee later!! Rushed recovery always seems to lead to much longer and harder recovery.

He said six to twelve months before she can run. He said no to basketball (not even shooting baskets). Anything where her feet could leave the ground (jogging, running, basketball) are a no b/c when she comes down, it's seven times her body weight of force that's being put on the knee, which is not fully healed.
The only positives that I heard are that she may ride her horse (as long as it's just normal riding - nothing daring or fast), and she may begin squats in physical therapy.
Physical therapy is next week.
Follow up with the surgeon is mid-March.
