It's been a week. I drank A LOT of diet soda. Lately it's been caffeine free - for about a month.
I've had a really bad sweet tooth this past week and now dealing with headaches. Could it be withdrawal? I still drink coffee with caffeine and haven't changed anything else. What is going on?

Yup, I'd say withdrawal. Keep going. In another week or less you should feel a lot better.

It's so, so hard to give up pop. And so darn easy to go back. A week is really good! Yeah, I would guess the sweet tooth and headaches are withdrawal related. I drink coffee too, but when I knock off the pop, it's really rough for a while. Stay strong...you've got this. The sweet tooth and headaches should subside!

So, it's been a month now! I told my Mom it was 3 weeks, so that's a surprise. Still going strong! I've been drinking lots of water, iced tea and making "Italian" soda's with my soda stream and sugar free syrups. They work great when I want the "fizz" of soda.

So, it's been a month now! I told my Mom it was 3 weeks, so that's a surprise. Still going strong! That is a hard thing to give up! Now, can you talk to my DH; he's a Coke-a-holic.

I've cheated here and there - like when we go out for dinner I sometimes will have a soda. Otherwise it's been iced tea or a make a *soda* with my soda stream and stevia sweetened syrups when I need something bubbly. I've had the Zevia sodas. but they're so pricey its really a treat.

You inspired me...I'm giving it a shot and I've already noticed less bloat. Thanks for the motivation! It's so hard though, isn't it? I miss it and it's still got a hold on me. I'll do my best to stay away.
